1958-1959 Gophers Hockey Jersey

The Golden Gophers - for the second consecutive season - donned an all maroon jersey again featuring the stoic Golden Gopher patch on the left arm, and a gold lace-up neck.  The jerseys featured classic one color serif font lettering sewn diagonally across the jersey and one color chest/back number(s).  This season was special since the entire state of Minnesota was celebrating the 1858-1958 Centennial with celebrations ongoing across Minnesota in celebration of the States Centennial year.  The Gophers hockey team celebrated this by donning the Statehood Centennial Emblem in a fully embroidered circular patch on the upper left chest above the front jersey number for the 1958-1959 and the 1959-1960 season.
